The JibJab crew joins our group of showoffs at Twiistup 2. They’ll be on hand to talk about their contributions to the viral video space as well as what’s going on at JibJab.com.
Brothers Greg and Evan Spiridellis founded JibJab in 1999 in their Brooklyn garage. Their hilarious, mostly political, animated cartoons have been passing from machine to machine ever since.
Their first hit was an interactive video of the Founding Fathers rapping about the Declaration of Independence, followed by a Bush/Gore rap battle during the 2000 Presidential campaign. After a two-year slump, due to the dot com bust, JibJab exploded back into the mainstream with “This Land”, which thrust them into the media spotlight, and “Good to be in DC”, which premiered on The Tonight Show.
Today, JibJab, based in Santa Monica, is made up of a team of artists, tech geniuses and business minds. JibJab teamed with ThePartyParty.com to produce their latest video “Star Spangled Banner”. You can find their videos, as well as, user generated video jokes on their website www.jibjab.com, where you can also download free JibJab videos for your ipod.

So when will this event and jibjab be in NY? Looks like it’s going to be great event - wish I could make it out. Jibjab creates the best web videos.
