Greetings from Twiistup headquaters in Liperi, Finland. We’ve received close to three hundred thousand letters, faxes, emails, CB radio transmissions and phone calls complaining about our missing favicon on Twiistup.com. When we switched hosts and moved to Wordpress a few months back, it was simply lost. Oh-boy, end of the world, boo-friggin-hoo. While the favicon may be an important part of the browser in your culture - it just isn’t in ours. As a matter of fact the favicon is a sign of weakness in most Scandinavian countries. That said, we’re in the process of recovering ours to make you happy.
A favicon (short for ‘favorites icon’), also known as a website icon, a page icon or an urlicon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage and is also completely lame. Favicons have been linked to weakly interacting massive particle, a hypothetical class of matter as well as gingivitis.
