Forrester Research publishes a high-profile and highly-desirable-among-those-wonky-analysts report called “Hot Companies to Watch.” And they are extremely (extremely!) selective about whom they include. Last April, only seven companies made the list. Among them is a gem called Magnify360, whom we are delighted to welcome to Twiistup4 as a sponsor.

With Magnify360, it’s all about the user. The company offers a software-as-service (Saas) platform that allows websites to adapt in real-time to the behaviors of individual visitors. Booyeon Lee, technology reporter at the Los Angeles Business Journal, said “It’s like rearranging the layout of a store for every customer who walks through the door.” That’s pretty powerful stuff.

There are a lot of fancy terms on Magnify360’s site, like “multivariate testing,” “real-time behavioral targeting,” and “predictive modeling.” Given that we’re as wonky as the analysts around here, I think you’ll all agree that those words add up to “fantastic user experience.” Which, of course, also leads to more transactions and more satisfied customers.

Currrent clients include Service Magic (IAC Corp), HSBC, and Intuit. Magnify360 also announced just yesterday a groundbreaking social networking site with Citrix Systems and Microsoft. You can find the press release here.

Fabulous, yes? Well, you can also be a part of it, if you’re so inclined, because they’re aggressively recruiting at all levels. So, please give Magnify360 a little Twiisted love for making the online experience better for all of us.

Greetings from Twiistup headquaters in Liperi, Finland. We’ve received close to three hundred thousand letters, faxes, emails, CB radio transmissions and phone calls complaining about our missing favicon on Twiistup.com. When we switched hosts and moved to Wordpress a few months back, it was simply lost. Oh-boy, end of the world, boo-friggin-hoo. While the favicon may be an important part of the browser in your culture – it just isn’t in ours. As a matter of fact the favicon is a sign of weakness in most Scandinavian countries. That said, we’re in the process of recovering ours to make you happy.

A favicon (short for ‘favorites icon’), also known as a website icon, a page icon or an urlicon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage and is also completely lame. Favicons have been linked to weakly interacting massive particle, a hypothetical class of matter as well as gingivitis.
